Summary of 2013 and nice start of The New Year!

I have so many news right now! An idea for a tutorial, new models, finishing the old ones, items in mail order, well, there is a lot to write!

Well, since we already have a year of 2014 I want to make a summary about my collection at the end of the previous year (I should add a proper photo later I think).

I started making 2 armies, both Imperial - Space Marines and Imperial Guard. Since I decided to stop buying IG models until the release of the 6th edition codex and some new models I only have 1 simple squad of 10 man with lasguns and 1 Techpriest. Space Marines have better situation because I focused on that army. And at the end of 2013 my colection was made of:

Typhus Corrosion

I bought today brand new paint called "Typhus Corrosion". I mentioned it in a previous post, where I wrote that my "Warp Survivors" are too clean and nice to look like such veterans so I decided to add some effects with this paint.

The Warp Survivors Squad

As you know I started this hobby with a "Battle for Macragge Paint Set" which included 3 dry-fit Space Marines, and after that I bought some more of them. At this time I didn't plan to make a SM Chapter of my own or to paint all of them in one colour scheme, I just wanted to have fun while painting them. But after the creation of the Ubermarines chapter I didn't know what to do with these 7 miniatures. I didn't want to repaint them because I liked the way they look, but I wanted them to be part of the story about my chapter. So what did I do?

November Update #1

First thing that I want to say is that I'm sorry for being silent for such a long time, there was nothing new for more than a month, I know. I just didn't have much time for painting miniatures, I barely made 2 of them during that time (Imperial Guardsman and a Space Marine which has been finished yesterday). What's worse I was so disorganized that I forgot to take enough pictures for tutorial about painting.

But I will make this tutorial anyway, it will have "work in progress" status until I'll take more photos while making another figs (I just have 4 left at this moment).

First in the line of defence!

And here they are! First units of my second army (or maybe second part of my Imperial Army, that's more accurate), the Imperial Guard!

Command and Conquer

In this post I'll present you the unit which my Lovely Girlfriend (:3) gave me as anniversary gift - The Space Marines Command Squad. It's basically unit made of 4 Veterans and 1 Apothecary:

Commanding in the name of the Emperor

Today I'm finally going to show you my Space Marine Commander and my Chapter of Übermarines.

What I like most about this SM Commander miniature is that it's multi-kit set, he has 4 melee weapons and 4 guns: Power Sword, Chainsword, Power Fist and Power Claw and Bolt Pistol (I lost it few weeks ago...), Storm Bolter, Combiplasma and Combimelta. Because of this variety of parts I decided not to glue them together but to use magnets so I can change his weapons, heads and even bases.
